Felsburg Holt & Ullevig Transportation Construction Inspector, Mid-Level - CM0008 in Denver, Colorado

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is in search of a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Construction Practice Group based in our Greenwood Village office. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing transportation construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Project Engineers to provide quality assurance and project controls for roadway construction projects.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of transportation project construction work, encompassing paving, structures, storm drainage systems, and traffic control, to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

  • Monitor and meticulously document construction progress and quantities of work.

  • Coordinate materials testing activities and ensure adherence to testing protocols.

  • Take field measurements of completed work and prepare documentation for payment purposes.

  • Perform quality control checks and validate calculations conducted by others.

  • Be flexible with working hours, including shifts, nights, and weekends, as project demands dictate.

  • Navigate construction sites adeptly, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and in confined spaces, and lifting and carrying loads up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with the ability to obtain relevant industry inspection and testing certifications.

  • 5-10 years of experience

  • Possession of a valid Colorado driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting engineering plans and specifications.

  • Strong aptitude for enforcing contract requirements and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and the public.

  • Willingness to travel along the front range of Colorado for project assignments.

The pay for this position has a range of $33 - $45 per hour. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
