Operations Supervisor - Alexandria

Viking Coca-Cola Bottling a privately owned business with locations in western Wisconsin and central Minnesota is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Alexandria, MN branch. The Operations Supervisor position will be responsible for supervising Viking Coca Cola and First Choice Route drivers, Relief Drivers, Overnight express drivers, Bulk drivers, and warehouse staff by providing direction, guidance, counseling, and monitoring performance. This position must maintain consistent operating procedures to insure quality and effective customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES

  • Supervises VCC and First Choice route personnel; providing direction, guidance, counseling, and monitoring performance.

  • Maintains consistent operating procedures to insure quality and effective customer service.

  • Maintains inventory control; including ordering, checking in deliveries, checking out and in trucks, taking inventory and accounting for any shortages. (In St Cloud this is the responsibility of the warehouse manager).

  • Monitors spoilage and outdate control through ordering, merchandising and monitoring drivers, vending machines and accounts.

  • Assists in hiring and training VCC and FC employees, including route drivers, relief drivers, overnight exp drivers, bulk drivers, and warehouse staff.

  • Rides with route drivers a minimum of two to three days per week, alternating between VCC and FC as needed.

  • Conducts P.R.I.D.E. (vehicle) inspections and submits for approval

  • Conducts monthly plant inspections

  • Audits cash office monthly

  • Runs relief FC routes.

  • Ensures planograms and brand order is followed.

  • Manages VCC and FC routes for efficiency.

  • Inspects and schedules company vehicles for maintenance, cleanliness, vehicle washes or service related needs.

  • Ensures dunnage, recyclables and returned products are shipped back to distribution centers per company guidelines.

  • Oversees Streamware (software for Vending) for branch and make sure all procedures are being followed.

  • Oversees follow-up on any Streamware Dex issues.

  • Assists in any manner possible to insure VCC and First Choice Food & Beverage Solutions' customers are given quality service.

  • Participates in the development of department goals and objectives.

  • Ensures that company management principles, policies and programs are consistently practiced and enforced.

  • Trains employees on how to operate machines safely and efficiently. Identifies training needs and delivers training.

  • Promotes and enforces a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA, DOT and company policies and procedures with efforts to reduce work-related injuries.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of all training programs designed to improve employee knowledge and skill levels.

  • Monitors and manages all Key Business Indicators that measure productivity and efficiency

  • Maintains the branch facility/warehouse by coordinating repairs, security, cleanliness, organization, OSHA compliance, etc.

  • Valid Class D driver's license, and health card with satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Check according to the company's Vehicle Safety Policy (It is preferred, but not required, that the Operations Supervisor has a valid class A driver's license)
