We are seeking a Site Civil Operations Manager to join our team in either our Wilmington, Raleigh, Hillsborough or Asheville, NC offices.
Responsibilities:
Exceed clients' expectations and foster client relationships through collaboration and problem-solving
Communicate with clients regularly to provide project status and updates
Address concerns and issues in a timely fashion and establish rapport with stakeholders
Prepare proposal s with project schedules and fees
Supervise the execution of projects including technical, financial, and client coordination approvals and permitting issues, ensuring that all steps and procedures are followed through out the local jurisdictional requirements.
Effectively manage and assign duties and schedules to assigned team members
Ensure individual and department QA/QC procedures are followed.
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
Maintain profitability goals set by the Department Manager
Assist the Department Manager with implementation of processes and procedures.
Advise the Department Manager on all operational and management activities for projects
Lead and mentor staff, including civil designers and CAD technicians to ensure all responsibilities are met and that time is spent efficiently and effectively.
Participate in b usiness d evelopment by maintaining existing client relationships and acquiring new contacts/clients through attendance to local meetings, workshops and/or social events.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering , Landscape Architecture, or related field
Registration as a Professional preferred
Minimum 15+ years of experience
Working knowledge of various computer programs including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MS Office
Specific design experience required with planning, site layout, landscaping, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control
Familiarity with entitlement processes and local permitting regulations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instruction
Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent the organization externally
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to stand and walk on job sites as needed
Ability to drive and has a valid driver's license
