Description
Robert Half has partnered with a long-time and reputable client to hire their next Cost Accountant. We’re seeking an experienced professional with at least 2+ years of cost accounting experience, with an emphasis on inventory control and inventory accounting.
We are looking for someone who loves the manufacturing industry and really wants to take ownership of the inventory and cost accounting process, that will also work closely with colleagues on the manufacturing floor in inventory, cost control, implementing efficiencies, tracking accurate costs and reporting, and more!
A sample of your responsibilities includes:
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy
• Implement cost accounting procedures and methods
• Manage and analyze costing data for existing and new products
• Assist in budget planning and cost prediction
• Collaborate closely with purchasing and production departments
• Regularly review the company's cost systems and methods for opportunities for improvement
• Assist with physical inventory counts, and more!

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
• At least 2+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience in inventory management
• Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Excel and inventory software
