This is a pivotal position for our team; looking to fill an engineer position on the Cryptographic Modernization Branch Key Management Team.

  • Assess Key Management (KM) options and work with NSA and stakeholders to identify KM alternatives that support end user data concepts of operation while complying with KMI 3300.
  • Manage complex activities including COMSEC technologies to solve problems based on analysis and evaluation of data.
  • Provide leadership to teams surrounding COMSEC, Cyrpto and cyber security needs.
  • Communicate and support internal and external resources (staff, facilities, equipment and COMSEC equipment).
  • Manage incoming requests in a help desk fashion. Maintain the request database and software as well as find solutions for the requests.
  • Apply COMSEC policy/procedures to operations.
  • Comply with all COMSEC security requirements outlined in CMS-1A .
  • Process all KMI Form 003 COMSEC Account Data (CAD) registration forms.
  • Submit COMSEC key orders for all accounts for new KMI accounts.
  • Manage EKMS/KMI operations.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate a respectful demeanor.

Must be adept at problem-solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to department management.

Applicant will have a general knowledge of COMSEC policy/procedures, EKMS/KMI operations as outlined in AR 380-40 and TB 380-41, and general knowledge of computers

Working knowledge of multiple key loading devices (e.g. SKL, TKL, RASKL)

Ability to analyze and evaluate technical adequacy and compliance

Working knowledge in Army radios, to include filling key, basic radio setup in lab for test. This includes PRC-117G, AN/PRC 148, AN/PRC-163, and RT-1523F/G.

Tier 3 Help Desk Troubleshooting skills, from incoming request, documentation into help desk software database, resolving request to user satisfaction.
