ASRC FEDERAL (Agile Decision Sciences) is seeking a System Administrator Senior II for our contract located at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This position is REMOTE with occasional travel to the client site required.

System Administrator Senior II (ServiceNow)

As we continue to enhance our IT infrastructure and software capabilities, we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team in various key roles. Each position plays a crucial part in maintaining and advancing our ServiceNow environment, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for CECOM personnel worldwide.

Position Description: We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow System Administrator to manage and sustain the ServiceNow environment for the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of the ServiceNow platform, performing routine maintenance, managing user accounts, and supporting the overall deployment of custom HR applications within the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ServiceNow Environment Sustainment:

  • Perform regular environment maintenance, including applying upgrades, patches, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Ensure synchronization across all environments (Development, Test, Production) to maintain consistency and reflect the latest approved configurations.

  • Conduct routine health checks and performance monitoring for all ServiceNow instances to prevent potential issues.

  • Break-Fix Support:

  • Respond quickly to any issues, defects, or malfunctions in the ServiceNow environment, providing effective resolution to minimize downtime.

  • Implement emergency fixes as needed to restore normal operations and maintain detailed logs of all incidents and resolutions.

  • User Account Management:

  • Manage user accounts, including creation, deletion, and role assignments, ensuring that access controls and permissions are properly enforced according to organizational policies.

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all user management activities.

  • DevSecOps Implementation:

  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate DevSecOps practices, including the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines within the ServiceNow environment.

  • Participate in security assessments and vulnerability scans as part of the continuous integration and deployment process.

  • Authority to Operate (ATO) Compliance:

  • Work in conjunction with G6 Cyber Security personnel to ensure the ServiceNow environment maintains its Authority to Operate (ATO) status, awarded on May 9, 2024.

  • Ensure all security protocols and compliance measures are adhered to, supporting the overall security posture of the platform.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to environment configurations, updates, and administrative activities.

  • Contribute to monthly progress reports, providing updates on environment status, issues, and resolutions..

Work Environment:

  • The role involves working closely with Army Materiel Command (AMC) personnel and G6 Cyber Security teams to ensure the continued operational status and security compliance of the ServiceNow environment.

Requirements :

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ServiceNow administration, including managing multiple environments (Dev, Test, Prod).

  • Proven experience in applying patches, upgrades, and performing system tuning within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Certifications (Desired):

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or equivalent certification.

  • Skills:

  • Strong expertise in user account management, role assignments, and access controls within ServiceNow.

  • Proficient in environment maintenance, including upgrades, patches, and performance monitoring.

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation in a ServiceNow environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with the following:

  • Custom HR modules in ServiceNow (e.g., Training Calendar, Telework, Awards, Out-Processing).

  • Integration and deployment of ServiceNow in a government or defense environment.

  • Government cloud environments (e.g., GovCommunityCloud - DOD Impact Level 4).
