U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command LEAD INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities. Responsibilities Understands and executes the demand planning program for a complex portfolio of weapons systems and/or component piece parts. Supports working level commodity reviews by identifying demand and return forecast accuracy risks; highlighting major changes made to the demand and return plan identifying unplanned demands and returns received. Coordinates with various stakeholders such as the weapon system team and the systems analysts to maintain complete and correct demand material master coding in the ERP system by submitting change requests to the material master cell. Reviews reports to address forecast accuracy and demand history peculiarities (unplanned demand or very large demand spikes) requiring verification/review to provide interpretations and guidance to management officials and other supply specialists. Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Serves as coach and facilitator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members. Researches, learns, and applies wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: Experience providing supply chain support for a weapon system within the Logistics Modernization Program ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Experience interpreting guidance to investigate supply chain discrepancies and take appropriate action. Experience preparing briefings both orally and written to brief team and Command. Experience utilizing supply chain management processes and procedures for lifecycle management from inception to completion.
