Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Location: Aberdeen, SD (Onsite)

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Potential Weekend Work)

Duration: 4 months to start (with potential to convert to permanent)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential issues, and carry out necessary repairs.

  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

  • Review and track completion of assigned work orders using available systems.

  • Support energy management efforts by ensuring efficient operation of building systems.

  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

  • Utilize established procedures to address straightforward problems and communicate clearly.

  • Complete tasks following defined processes under supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Diploma (1-2 years of related experience required).

  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Capacity to follow established work routines and standards.

  • Basic communication skills to exchange information clearly.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset
