Brady Corporation Software Engineer in Acton, Massachusetts

What We Need:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design and develop software needed to market Code products

  • Architect and implement software solutions

  • Responsible for the production and maintenance of software products that meets quality system requirements as it relates to Code Corporation

  • Maintain and improve all software products

  • Interface to barcode readers over a number of different types of interfaces (USB, RS232, Bluetooth)

  • Collaborate with other personnel to identify, define, and solve any issues

  • Responsible for SDK development and documentation

  • Work with outsource partners to ensure they are meeting Code’s expectation

  • Work with domestic and international software development partners

  • Work with marketing to define new product requirements, write product specifications and estimate schedules

    What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Proficiency in mobile application development for Android and iOS platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages: Java, Kotlin (for Android), Swift, and Objective-C (for iOS).

  • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks: React Native, Flutter, or MAUI is a plus.

  • Familiarity with creating and utilizing RESTful APIs.

  • Proficiency in source code versioning and control systems, including branching and merging practices.

  • 3+ years of experience developing a variety of software applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Comfortable working in Agile/iterative development environments.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

  • Must be a self-starter with a willingness to learn new technologies.
