POSITION SCOPE:
Contract Packaging Company has an immediate need for aStaff Accountant. The Staff Accountant responsibilities include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This role will act as part of a cross functional finance team member. Duties will also include the management of cost accounting projects, and special projects as needed.

Requirements
Essential Accountabilities:
Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieve
Assist in the month end closing process, prepare and enter journal entries
Manage and perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Create journal entries for posting including fixed asset depreciation, prepaid expense, and lease
Review of General Ledger for accuracy
Manage Fixed Assets tracking system (BNA)
Perform labor reconciliations
Manage, review and reconcile credit card statements
Review Bill of Materials (BOMs) for costing standards and variances
Review inventory cycle counts for accuracy and analysis
Responsible for daily data entry into accounts payable and accounts receivable
Vendor set up and maintenance, coding and payment processing
Assist in cash management process, including ACH batches for payment
Assist with A/R and deposits, as needed
Provide information to external auditors for annual audit
Working in ERP and other software as required

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Need 3-5 years relevant experience
Manufacturing experience required
Familiarity with ERP systems
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and must be able to interact with all levels of associates and management
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel
Strong problem-solving skills
A disciplined approach to developing and implementing standardized processes and procedures to drive results
Self-starter that works well independently but also fosters an environment of teamwork by clearly operating as a team member
Ability to travel, as needed
