In this position you will assemble cable assemblies or box builds by using assembly tools, machinery, and equipment. You will follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or schematics to get the job done. The assemblies you complete are used in complex systems such as airplanes, ships, military hardware, and medical devices. Those who do well in this job have basic mechanical assembly skills, use hand tools like a crimper, soldering/desoldering skills, sharp focus on detailed tasks, ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents, and work with speed and accuracy. You will also have a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
