Description

Our company in the construction industry is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing infrastructure on construction projects. You will work with various materials including wood, metal and concrete, and you will be required to interpret blueprints and plans in order to complete projects to specification. Your work will often be performed on-site, and may require you to work at considerable heights or in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and install structures and frameworks,

  • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other individuals to plan, design and execute projects within given deadlines.

  • Operate hand and power tools in order to complete projects accurately and efficiently.

  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding, and frames using carpenters' hand and power tools.

  • Provide guidance and support to unskilled laborers as required.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.

  • Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and processes.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools.

  • Physical fitness and agility, with ability to work in elevated or cramped spaces.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay Rate: $16.92/hr
