Job Description
With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.
The Security team provides security, information, directions and escort service to patients and staff as needed, while adhering to policies and regulations regarding safety. As Security Officers patrol Pali Momi facilities, they are often the first to meet and greet our clients, which positions the community’s experience at our facility in a positive way. The Security team plays a vital role in creating a sense of safety and security throughout our hospitals, which is important to our patients and their families
As the Lead Security Officer, you will play a key role in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff and guests at Kapi‘olani. In this role, you will perform all duties needed to provide leadership and structure to the Security Department at an assigned facility. We are looking for someone experienced and confident, with excellent customer service and communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Health care Security Officer Training Certificate. IAHSS Safety and Security Supervisor Training Certificate to be obtained at first availability from date of hire. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver – AED CPR card. Two (2) years of hospital security experience. Current Hawaii Guard Card (GDE) License.
Preferred Qualifications: Leadership or supervisory experience.
