Savannah River Mission Completion Engineering Administrative Assistant-Coordinator in Aiken, South Carolina

Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Engineering Administrative Assistant-Coordinator to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

Responsibilities

The Engineering Administrative Assistant-Coordinator under general supervision, provides a variety of clerical and administrative assistance/coordination support to Facility Engineering Manager and Deputy Facility Engineering Manager.

  • Coordinates and maintains schedules and calendars.

  • Coordinates and arranges meetings.

  • Tracking of time critical assignments, meeting attendance, required training, and other essential requirements.

  • Answers phone, takes messages, and routes message to appropriate individual, department, or facility.

  • Distributes essential company, department, or facility communications.

  • Provides a variety of clerical and administrative assistance.

  • Provides backup administrative support to Facility Management.

  • Provides administrative support to Faciliy Operations Safety Committee by scheduling meetings, documenting and distributing meeting minutes, tracking of committee action items, etc.

  • Utilizes personal computers or electronic devices including keyboarding, databases, spreadsheets, presentation, conversion software, document control or other applications/programs specific to SRMC

  • Orders and maintains all office supplies, materials, etc.

  • Tracks documents for engineering manager approval.

  • Tracks, updates, and provides status for Integrated Project Team, Plan of the Week, and other facility scheduled activities for Engineering.

  • Designs (DCF/DCP) queries for impact reviews, construction estimates, incorporation request, Davis-Bacon calls, etc.

  • Tracks and updates STAR and other other Engineering assignments for Management Review Board.

  • Serves as administrative liaison between other site organizations and all other SRMC organizations.

  • Incorporates amendments for system design description documents.

  • Creates STAR items for tracking of critical engineering activities.

  • Updates organizational chart.

  • Maintains system matrix ensuring all records are current per updates from managers.

  • Submits and obtains records from Engineering Plant and Facilities Management (EPFM) and Electronic Document Workflow System (EDWS).

  • Key operator for copier

  • Other duties as assigned by Facility Engineering Manager or Deputy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university​

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED and professional, administrative, secretarial or clerical experience related to the position’s responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels within the organization.

  • Communication skills to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work as a team member.

  • Knowledge of personal computers and applications included in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Asset Suite, and Maximo work control software.

  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and multi-task.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Solid time management skills.

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. Minimum Pay

USD $39,012.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $70,100.00/Yr.
