POSITION DESCRIPTION Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to SRNS. Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Education: BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering ​​​​ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry. Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience working at one or more DOE facilities. Candidate must demonstrate experience creating and revising documentation in one or more of the following areas: Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews. Ability to walkdown and interface with personnel and systems in the field. Ability to fulfill and promote L&A Core Values. Must be a US Citizen. ​​​​​​ D esired Qualifications Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance within the past two years. Previous SRS experience is preferred. LOCATION Position will be on-site in Aiken, SC.
