Robert Half Tax Associate in Airlie, Virginia

Description

My client, a well-established and well-respected financial planning firm, is in need of a Tax Associate who will play a key role in our financial planning team, based in Airlie, Virginia, United States. This role will require you to engage with clients and collaborate within a team setting, focusing on integrating tax planning into our comprehensive financial planning process. Although tax return preparation isn't part of the role, current or prior experience with tax preparation will be crucial for successful performance. This position comes with paid time off, retirement contribution, profit sharing, medical insurance. This is a very congenial office with a strong team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the financial planning team to incorporate tax planning into our comprehensive financial planning process.

• Attend meetings and work closely with clients to understand their financial objectives.

• Leverage your previous tax preparation (compliance) experience to provide expert advice on financial planning.

• Use your strong customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with clients.

• Familiarize yourself with Accounting Software Systems and CS Planner for efficient operation

• Handle Accounting Functions and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Position: Tax Associate

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or tax planning

• Associate's or bachelor's degree. Degree in accounting/finance/business preferred

• CPA or parts passed of CPA examination highly preferred

• EA or parts passed of EA (enrolled agent) examination highly preferred

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to understand financial statements

• Tax Compliance knowledge is required
