As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing consolidated financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis, enabling strategic decision making for the Aerospace organization of Parker Hannifin. You will play a crucial role in driving transformation and be a key interface with the organization’s senior leadership team. Analyzing financial data and trends, preparing cash flow forecasts, profit & loss statements, and utilizing advanced analytics tools to provide strategic insights to support business decisions. This position requires a strong background in financial modeling, US GAAP revenue recognition experience, continuous improvement mindset, and a proven track record of effective business partnering.

Essential Functions:

Accounting & Controlling Process Support

• Responsible for the preparing and consolidating Divisional financial forecasts, monthly, quarterly, and annually with a heavier focus on revenue and margin performance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights

• Participate in the formulation and analysis of the financial data used to guide operations; participate in the advance development and analysis of policy geared towards the refinement of financial management techniques

• Support month end closing activities and post-closing variance analysis

• Provide and analyze consolidated KPI reporting for, Sales, Margin, Cash Flow, and various other

Functional Department Support

• Act as a key finance partner to department heads and senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions and business planning

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide analytical support; focused towards Program Management, Operations/SIOP

• Actively engage in the monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process as the leading representative from Finance, offering next level thinking and guidance throughout the process

Process Improvement:

• Continuously assess and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and analytical capabilities

• Champion initiatives that automate and optimize financial processes, reducing manual effort and increasing time for strategic analysis

• Foster collaboration and learning between finance and other departments to refine cross-functional processes, ensuring more integrated and efficient operations across the organization

Business Controlling

• Conduct and report comprehensive analyses on Free of Charge (FOC) requirements within the business, ensuring transparent and accountable financial practices

• Lead detailed analyses for a variety of special project assignments, providing in-depth insights to support strategic initiatives and projects.

• Ensure strict adherence to both corporate and statutory financial policies, maintaining the organization's integrity and compliance with financial regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master degree in Finance preferred but not required.

• 2-5 years’ experience of driving/leading FP&A processes, analysis, forecasting and budgeting

• A self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative and customer focus mindset

• Be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple activities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently

• Commercial and price development experience with a demonstrable understanding of financial matters and profit drivers is preferred

• Knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is preferred, as well as expert proficiency in Excel

• Experience with US GAAP is preferred

• Experience with process improvement and documentation

Nature and Scope

This position is performed without appreciable direction. The incumbent may be assigned as project leader guiding and directing others with financial projects.

Incumbent performs a variety of complex analysis work requiring the complete understanding of financial and/or accounting principles, concepts, and practices, as well as a thorough knowledge of data processing, a thorough knowledge of all segments of the company’s business, and a thorough knowledge of governmental financial and/or accounting regulations. The incumbent must be able to perform assignments with extremely high degree of accuracy under pressure and time constraints.

This position necessitates interaction with persons within the Corporation and persons belonging to government agencies and other Corporations. The purpose of this interaction is to provide for the flow of correct financial information which improves communication between parties and allows for greater company knowledge of its industry and marketplace.

The incumbent must display well refined communication skills and the ability to respond in a timely manner are very important characteristics.

Performance of this job involves daily decision making regarding proper implementation of financial and/or accounting procedures for areas of responsibility. Incumbents develop solutions to many different problems ranging from resolving new business negotiation impasses to the guidance and instruction of less experienced personnel.
