Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Akron, Ohio

Description

We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Akron, Ohio. This role involves overseeing HR processes, managing employee relations, and working with union representatives. The HR Manager will play a vital role in maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring efficient operations in our organization. This is a direct hire position and a wonderful opportunity to grow a large organization that offers tremendous growth. The hours are Monday-Friday with standard business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all HR-related processes within the organization

• Develop and maintain employee relations, resolving any issues that may arise

• Coordinate with union representatives and handle union-related matters

• Implement effective hiring processes to ensure the recruitment of suitable candidates

• Manage benefit functions to ensure employees receive their entitled benefits

• Maintain open lines of communication across all levels of the organization

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

• Nurture a positive working environment, ensuring employee welfare and workplace harmony

• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

• Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Requirements • Proficiency in managing benefit functions within an organization

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven experience in fostering strong employee relations

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with hiring processes

• Ability to implement and oversee HR policies and procedures

• Strong understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures

• Proficient in HRIS and payroll software

• Demonstrable leadership abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

• Prior experience in a managerial role within a HR department

• Professional certification in Human Resources is a plus.
