Position Description:

The Network Enginee will be a member of the Global IT Infrastructure Services organization responsible for professional and technical work related to Cisco Network LAN / WAN network and telecom services. This is an advanced service supporting role primarily responsible for the transitional and operational tasks and duties in support of network service implementations that span across a broad range of global network services and solutions (Local Area Network, Wireless and Firewall ).

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and support / recommendations to guide the LAN / Wireless / Firewall

  • Provide support to other Applications or Infrastructure Groups on the interaction of Networks and Networking Systems on Business Functions and/or IT Systems.

  • Support complex and multi-disciplinary projects within area of specialization and across Functional Groups.

  • Provide multiple solutions to business problems - Leverages data to justify and recommend the appropriate Networking improvements that leverage new or existing technologies.

  • Participate in an Emergency On-Call Rotation for after-hours and weekend support. Flexible schedules and 24x7 support availability (generally scheduled in advance) may be required as necessary to support the technical needs of our customers

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business or in lieu of degree 8 years of IT experience

  • 3 or more years of experience in the work field involving 1 or more of the following: Cisco LAN Networking, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Firewall

  • ITIL certification is an asset
