Robert Half PC Technician in Akron, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a PC Technician in Akron, Ohio. This role encompasses maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems within a business setting, working closely with other IT personnel, and ensuring that all hardware and software are up-to-date to support employees in their tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Installing computers, routers, and other hardware to ensure smooth operations

• Updating and repairing existing computer systems as needed

• Troubleshooting problems with hardware to minimize downtime

• Working within the IT department to set up, maintain, and repair computer systems for employees across departments

• Collaborating with other IT personnel to troubleshoot hardware problems and install new equipment

• Utilizing knowledge of computers to ensure that company employees have up-to-date hardware and software to complete their jobs properly

• Implementing computer imaging and desktop imaging processes

• Documenting all processes, issues, and solutions in a clear and concise manner

• Maintaining a high level of communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other stakeholders. Requirements • Proficiency in Computer Imaging and Desktop Imaging is essential for this role.

• Must have strong skills in Documentation to accurately record and maintain records of all tasks performed.

• Excellent Communication Skills are required to effectively interact with team members and clients.

• Candidates must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to PCs.

• A solid understanding of various computer systems and networks is necessary.

• Experience with hardware and software installation and upgrades is a must.

• The ability to diagnose and replace faulty hardware components is required.

• Candidates must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and security.

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively is required.

• Must be willing to stay updated with advancements in technology and implement them in the work environment.

• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of PC technology is beneficial.
