DRB Systems, LLC Quality Assurance Analyst II in Akron, Ohio

Quality Assurance Analyst II for DRB Systems, LLC SEEKS in Akron, OH, to ensure a high-quality product is delivered to customers by taking proactive measures while working with other teams to detect problems before they reach the field; plan and develop tests by working with software engineers to review program specifications, establish test requirements, plan and record test procedures and test cases, and revise test plans as necessary; partner with software engineers to design and code automated tests and utilize tools to help the team become more productive and produce higher-quality, tested code; participate in Collaboration Specification Meetings and details testing strategy; execute tests, including duplication of field defects and validation of defect repairs; track defects by logging issues in Azure found during testing and updating defect status; assist in the set-up and maintenance of test lab; perform root-cause analysis on issues, detailing results through bug tracking tools; identify opportunities for continuous improvement for project and build pipelines; participate in the design of new products and features., as well as in creating work estimates, project schedules, and assessing project risks; meet stated milestone dates and deadlines; review and approve product documentation, test plans, etc. for technical accuracy; work with other departments, such as customer support, on escalated technical issues; interface with various types of hardware and third-party software program; troubleshoot hardware and software problems, apply understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) process, and collaborate on story writing, establishing acceptance criteria and associated test scripts.

 

Requires: Associate's degree in a technical field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)  plus four (4) years of experience demonstrating technical support, testing software and hardware systems, and tracking software and hardware defects. or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience demonstrating technical support, testing software and hardware systems, and tracking software and hardware defects. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Experience tracking software and hardware defects using Jira and Azure DevOps; Experience applying Azure DevOps to writing test cases executed through development pipelines and engineering cases when defects are found through this process; Experience developing and executing test automation using Selenium, Silk, and HP Unified Test; Experience performing SaaS Hybrid Cloud and mobile testing; Experience troubleshooting electronic equipment, systems, and software.; and Experience working within Agile teams and participating in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, and conducting demos for the stakeholder community.
