Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinists for projects located in the Alameda, CA area . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $35-40/hour based on experience skill level.If you are a Marine Outside Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

• Assist client's technicians to execute fit-out and service on unmanned vehicles, in the shop and the field

• Assist client's operations team in performing logistics functions on the front- or back-end of assembly and service execution

• Support vehicle final assembly and fit-out by performing mechanical tasks such as pipefitting, harness routing, and component installation

• Assist vehicle mobilization, demobilization, service, and reconfiguration at boat yards, marinas, and military bases around the world

• Assist client’s personnel in the execution of logistics tasks, including component packing, container loading/unloading, and site set-up/clean-up

Requirements

• Must be US Citizen

• Must pass drug screen, and background check

• Understand how to apply fundamentally-sound mechanical skills in a shipyard/marina environment

• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

• 2+ years of experience applying fundamentally-sound mechanical skills in a field, shipyard, or heavy industrial environment, following assembly or service instructions/diagrams, using tools ranging from basic hand tools to heavy equipment and rigging

• Experience performing basic services electro-mechanical components such as diesel engines, belt-started generators, or saildrives

• Experience and comfort safely operating heavy machinery, such as forklifts, telehandlers, or MEWP

• Possess, or able to complete, OSHA rigging, signaling, forklift, manlift training

• Personal or professional experience on or near water; familiar with rigging, mooring, and basic boat handling principles
