Are you passionate about helping families create brighter futures for their children? Do you have experience in Early Childhood Education and are ready to take on a leadership role?

Join an organization that has been providing quality education services through the Head Start and Universal Pre-K models for over 55 years. As the Assistant Site Supervisor, you help provide vision and leadership alongside the Site Supervisor for an early childhood education site. You perform a variety of administrative and customer-centered tasks to ensure operations are run smoothly. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist teaching staff with planned activities, family support, data collection, and record-keeping

  • Assist in staff supervision and professional development to maintain quality services for families

  • Oversee compliance with program performance standards and regulations, including reporting systems and databases

  • Act as a liaison between ACAP families and community organizations

  • Coordinate community resources and other activities for the benefit of families and staff

  • Help with creating a stable and nurturing program for children and families

Starting at $24.74 per hour; Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Social Work, Public or Business Administration, or a related field is required. A minimum of four (4) years experience working in human services or a community-based organization, of which at least two (2) years included supervisory experience. Knowledge of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and/or Head Start performance standards is highly desired. Valid driver’s license a plus. Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
