St. Peter’s Health Partners – St. Peter’s Hospital - Clinical Dietician - Full Time

St. Peter’s Hospital, located in Albany, NY and a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners is looking for full time clinical dietitian to oversee the nutrition management of all patients in assigned areas which involves nutritional assessment and care plan development. Responsibilities :

  • Education, goal definition/implementation, and monitoring of patient outcomes (i.e. progress towards goals).

  • Responsible for medical record documentation accordance with defined policy and procedure, provision of patient, family and community education, consultation to medical and nursing staff on clinical nutrition and food service issues

  • Completion of required in-servicing on patient nutritional management.

  • Appropriate practice of infection control measures i.e. response to isolation precautions, direction of food service staff as needed.

  • Electronic Menu system utilization and management, participation in food and nutrition management activities such as test trays and meal rounds as requested.

We are looking for a committed clinical dietitian with good interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in helping individuals. Previous dietitian experience and NYS Dietitian/Nutritionist certification is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics

  • Completion of Dietetic Internship

  • Registered by ADA*

  • Read, write and speak English at a minimum 6th grade level

*(a dietitian eligible for registration would be considered but registration must occur within the first 90 days of employment)

Pay Range: $25.85 - $35.65

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
