The Raymond Corporation Consignment Coordinator - Albany, NY in Albany, New York

We are looking for someone to join our Parts Department in Albany, NY! The Consignment Coordinator is going to be responsible for providing parts and related services to our current customers, focusing on increasing sales of all parts through our in-house consignment program. This position is responsible for ordering, inventory, delivery, and stocking of parts in customer locations. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and can expect extensive face to face customer contact throughout the day.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using your positive customer skills to expand the customer base and build customer loyalty.

  • Delivering parts to current and new customers to include internal customers.

  • Identify parts opportunities and resources required to secure parts business.

  • Assist the in-house parts team with phone calls and taking parts orders as needed.

  • Position is responsible for ordering, inventory, delivery, and stocking of parts for consignment customers.

  • Recognize customer needs, providing appropriate solutions to management to help increase business.

  • Perform product demonstrations and assisting customers with product application as required.

  • Answering phones and other administrative duties as required

  • Provide the best quality parts, customer service, and technical support.

  • Execute IRIUM system policies, procedures, data, and order entry.

  • Carry out department and company policies and procedures.

  • Process stock, emergency, and special orders as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to travel.

  • Must be able to continuously talk, hear and speak with good articulation and voice control.

  • Must be able to use fingers and hands to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms to lift, file and handle inventory.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under significant stress and meet high performance demands.

  • Ability to stand and walk for 2 hours.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Must be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl continuously.

  • Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to drive 8 hours.

  • Some overnight travel may be required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Works in a variety of customer environments including manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, and out of doors with exposure to elements. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards and dangerous chemical/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. This position also entails the necessity to work after normal working hours or on weekends based on customer need. Works under normal office conditions where required to sit for extended periods of time. Regularly spend significant amounts of time working in front of a computer terminal or in interactions with various people. Some travel may be required. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
