Description

We are offering an opportunity for an In House Counsel to join our team in the social media industry. The role involves providing legal guidance and support in various areas, with a primary focus on legal social media issues, compliance, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and privacy. This role offers the opportunity to handle legal intricacies within a growing social media company.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on a wide range of social media issues, ensuring the company's operations comply with the law.

• Handle legal aspects of social media advertising and campaigns, ensuring the company's promotional content complies with local and international laws.

• Draft contracts and other legal documents, ensuring they are legally sound and protect the company's interests.

• Oversee compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws, ensuring the protection of customer data.

• Keep abreast of changes in law regulation that may affect the company's social media operations and implement necessary changes.

• Use legal software to streamline and enhance legal processes.

• Conduct audits to identify potential legal issues and take corrective action.

• Create and manage social media content and graphics in compliance with the law.

• Handle data privacy issues, ensuring the company's data platforms comply with privacy laws.

• Provide guidance on privacy law as it pertains to the company's social media channels.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an In House Counsel or similar role

• Proficiency in using legal software for case management and research

• Demonstrated experience in auditing and drafting contracts

• Extensive knowledge of law regulations, general data protection regulation (GDPR), privacy law, and data privacy

• Familiarity with social media platforms and their advertising tools

• Experience in creating and managing social media campaigns

• Ability to develop content for various social media channels

• Experience in creating social media graphics

• Familiarity with data platforms and their use in legal contexts

• Must possess a law degree from an accredited law school

• Admitted to the bar in state of practice

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
