Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting the Mechanical Design Team - Electrolyzers, in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. Learning Objectives

• Become familiar with systems required in Electrolyzer design and how they are connected
• Understand piping material requirements for different process streams
• Understand how design data & requirements are propagated via 3D models to other company departments
• Gain knowledge on structuring a parametric model library for pressurized components

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist engineering design team in improving 3D model database of piping and tubing components
• Ensure CAD models are linked to company engineering database and easily searchable, cataloged, and accurate
• Rebuild/Redefine obsolete CAD models based on as-built documentation from fabrication documentation package
• Review 3D model parametric data to ensure engineering drawings meet the required specifications.

Education and Qualification

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or engineering technology
• Must have reliable transportation to the office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
• Excellent follow-through
• Must be driven and self-motivated
