Job Description
Oracle Database Cloud is one of the fastest-growing Oracle cloud product portfolios which includes Multicloud, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, NoSQL Database, Blockchain, GoldenGate and more. We are seeking a dynamic and creative addition to the Global Strategy and Outbound Product Management (PM) team for Oracle Database Cloud offerings, whose primary goal will be to help accelerate the growth of database cloud services across all the worldwide regions. This person will focus on implementing business development activities, defining and refining the GTM programs, commercializing the product and service, and working cross-functionally to grow the product and service as dictated by priorities. The priorities may change from quarter to quarter.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and creative addition to the Global Strategy and Outbound Product Management (PM) team for Oracle Database Cloud offerings, whose primary goal will be to help accelerate the growth of database cloud services across all the worldwide regions. This person will focus on implementing business development activities, defining and refining the GTM programs, commercializing the product and service, and working cross-functionally to grow the product and service as dictated by priorities. The priorities may change from quarter to quarter.
At a strategic level, this individual needs to cross-functionally define and implement the growth strategy of Oracle Database Cloud offerings, including seeking out market segments and partners that represent the growth opportunity.
At a tactical level, this individual needs to enthusiastically interact with various internal business groups, operations units, product release teams, and test and development teams to lead the entire life cycle process of the services and products within the Critical Database Technologies group. Furthermore, this individual also needs to actively engage with the sales and business development teams to understand, prioritize, and dynamically eliminate roadblocks to the growth of Oracle Database Cloud, wherever they exist.
Among other items, potential responsibilities may include:
Working with the technology-focused Product Management team to understand and develop key differentiation and success factors for Oracle Database Cloud offerings.
Working with various collaborators to commercialize and launch service updates.
Working with the marketing teams to align the messages to the core product value proposition, with the aim of developing the market and enhancing the pipeline.
Working with the regional sales and business development teams to structure the sale plays, sale programs, and GTM market models, specifically tuned to the dynamics of each global region, as well as providing periodic training & support to the regional sales ecosystem.
Working with partner teams to develop and enhance partner ecosystems. Activities involve aligning Oracle Database Cloud value proposition with partner’s GTM frameworks, evangelization, product positioning, vertical alignment, roadmap updates, solution support, and training.
Working with the regional sale and business development teams to perform win-loss analysis, create Point-of-View on regional success factors, and provide routine feedback to the executive management and technology-focused product teams.
Helping to build credible references, as well as create success stories, white papers, and field training material.
We seek someone with a very can-do attitude, who thinks creatively, is capable of creating independent Point-of-Views, can build support/consensus in a large multi-functional organization, and is aggressive at introducing new and evolving cloud concepts across all global regions.
Specific Job Background:
10 or more years of product management or business development experience, preferably in enterprise computing, cloud technologies, and database technologies; familiarity with Oracle RDBMS, NoSQL, and Blockchain technology is required
Balanced mix of business and technical skills, along with relevant hardware and database software experiences
BS / MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related technical degree, MBA highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail skills and strong experience working closely with internal teams to drive the entire product life cycle process, from launch to transition
Experience working closely with sales and business development teams to support various activities related to the growth of the product in the market
Excellent written, communication/presentation, and content creation skills
Analytical abilities, with a passion to solve complex business and technology problems, and the ability to learn new things
Strong interpersonal skills, with familiarity with building support and consensus in a large multi-functional organization.
Superb time management skills, especially in the context of multiple commitments
Positive attitude to accept and adopt constant changes

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
