Infinite Electronics International, Inc Senior Product Owner in Albany, New York

Position Description

A Senior Product Owner is an experienced professional responsible for the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the needs of the end users and provide value. Actively support the business point of view and guide in assessing product opportunities and risks. They work in tandem with delivery teams to drive solutions on customer value effort considerations, deliver solutions that meet business requirements, and realize intended business value.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate dynamic partnerships with stakeholders, including, clients, business associates, and development teams to effectively navigate evolving customer needs, and advocate for the client's perspective.

  • Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product vision, and product roadmap to strategic goals.

  • Leads and owns the product roadmap and sprint priorities.

  • Develop scope and define backlog items (epics, features, user stories) that guide the agile development team.

  • Solve product-related problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.

  • Draft key objectives results, and strategies and apply the data for the product to make business decisions.

  • Ensures follow-up and reporting of KPIs.

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.

  • Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product model, and communicating the product needs with business partners.

  • Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value aligned with product strategy and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.

  • Identifies and helps the client understand the business model, value, and value proposition.

  • Is an ambassador for the product internally and externally and is the primary contact for inquiries related to the products.

  • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features, so they are clearly understood by the development teams – the “what” and “why.”

  • Work closely with senior management to create a product that fits the company portfolio.

  • Research and analyze the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.

  • Increase an understanding of agile practices, lean startup, innovative technologies opportunities, and other latest trends.

  • Negotiate business priorities across multiple collaborator concerns, including technology priorities.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and development squad to define acceptance criteria.

  • Accept completed work throughout the sprint.

  • Ensure customer and stakeholder acceptance of the product.

  • Attend team ceremonies.

  • Think of the big picture, beyond the day-to-day activities; practice system thinking

  • Comfortable presenting to and working with Executive in Business and Tech

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner role

Reports To:

  • Director of e-commerce & DCE
