Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-time (25-32 hours a week) Accounts Payable Clerk to join a special client of ours in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable processes in the financial industry. This includes invoice processing, scheduling, and processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable processes, including the accurate and efficient processing of invoices, data entry, and payment runs in QuickBooks Desktop.

• Prepare drawdown payments to creditors and manage daily cash flow reporting to ensure accurate account management.

• Schedule and process Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments within set deadlines.

• Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments.

• Maintain the accuracy of the financial system by ensuring proper documentation and approval prior to payment.

• Communicate effectively with external suppliers and internal departments to address payment inquiries and discrepancies.

• Perform month-end vendor statement reconciliation and Accounts Payable accruals.

• Maintain vendor files to ensure their correctness and completeness.

• Assist in internal and external auditing procedures.

• Leverage your skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks to perform your role effectively.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have:

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to execute Check Runs efficiently

• Skill in Coding Invoices accurately

• Ability to handle Invoice Processing tasks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tasks

• Experience using QuickBooks for accounting purposes

• Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
