Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Manager will oversee all HR functions within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing employee relations, and supporting organizational development. This role requires effective communication skills and a deep understanding of HR practices and regulations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Hiring: Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.

  • Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Culture: Actively works with local culture advocates to strengthen and maintain regional culture and organizational trust. Analyze data and trends and recommends, develops, and delivers on plan to improve employee engagement, DEI, retention and performance.

  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.

  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal systems and provide guidance on employee evaluations.

  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.

  • Policy Development: Create and update HR policies and procedures to align with company goals and legal requirements.

  • Health and Safety: Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Partner closely with the safety team to align on strategies, key priorities and processes.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate employee records and prepare HR-related reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Preferred proficiency in bilingual (Spanish) communication; verbal and written.

  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
