Amentum JavaScript Developer in Albuquerque, New Mexico
Amentum is currently seeking a JavaScript Developer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.
As a member of the team, you will:
Develop high-performance web applications using Javscript(React, Vue.js, Node)
Work closely with customers and end-users to define and document application requirements;
Test, debug, and refactor frontend and backend web application code;
Translate detailed design into application systems;
Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product;
Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation; enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality;
Provide interactive issue troubleshooting, following user issue tickets through to resolution, documenting resolutions in a knowledge base, and working with application and system owners to identify advanced solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR an Associates degree and 5 years of experience OR a High School degree/ GED and 8 years of experience OR equivalent.
Related experience can be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.
Experience with software engineering standard methodologies
Experience with Linux, Mac or MS-Windows operating systems
Experience with some or all of the following: Javascript (pre-ES6 and ES6/7), React, Next.js, Node, HTML/CSS, Git, MySQL, SQL, MongoDB
Familiar with testing frameworks(Jest, Playwright)
Experience with automation, orchestration, continuous integration, and continuous delivery including tools such as Docker, GitLab CI, Openshift
Testing, debugging, and refactoring frontend and backend web application code
Virtualization and cloud technologies
Migrating from conventional deployments to continuous integration/continuous deployment
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify creative solutions
Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and motivated to continuously improve processes and skills
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to apply critical thinking skills and apply detailed data into useful information, such as documentation and developing policies, processes and procedures
Ability to work independently and within a team
