Job Title: Sales Manager (R100111835) Department: Sales Report To: Director of Sales and Marketing FLSA/Status: Full-time, Salaried-Exempt Responsible For - Job Purpose: ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a regular full-time Sales Manager at the Albuquerque Convention Center (ACC). The Sales Manager will be dedicated to the market with 499 or fewer attendees. This position will be responsible for maximizing rental, catering and social events. The sales manager is also responsible for administratively servicing the food and beverage and logistics needs of any client booking.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Produce contracts and event orders for each event with 499 or fewer attendees. Assists Sales team in accomplishing sales and marketing goals by promoting and selling the facility. Maximize sales and occupancy by nurturing current accounts and developing new accounts. Sell catering menus and detail catering contracts in accordance with the Albuquerque Convention Center. Must have strong knowledge of FandB pricing, trends, and operation. Determine clients' needs and match facility availability understanding its impact to the facility's overall operation. Provide client booking/sales information, follow-up, conduct site tours and close the sale. Quotes rental and service rates. Prepare and negotiate License Agreement. Handles pre-event correspondence and meetings until such time as account can be turned over to an Event Manager. Assist in developing and implementing a Marketing Plan as assigned by the Director. Represent the facility at industry events, trade shows and associations as assigned by Director. Develop proposals for potential clients and follow through on pending bookings. Entertain prospective clients of the facility. Consistently report to the Director of Sales and Marketing information on potential sales leads and existing client relations. Maintain an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations. Attending in-house event-related meetings and relays immediate changes with other departments. Manages relationship with outside stakeholders (such as Visit Albuquerque, Albuquerque Sports Commission, etc.) Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Knowledge of sales and marketing principles necessary to promote the facility. At least four (4) years of practical sales experience or convention center experience preferred. Advanced oral and written communication skills. Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility. Ability to self-motivate and stay on task in the absence of direct supervision. Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required sales goals. Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks. Excellent computer skills.

PHYSICAL EFFORT This position requires minimal stooping and lifting. Substantial walking and manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer is required.

Other Qualifications Works throughout the buil ing. Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to normal business hours.
