Responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary market related to various study types including but not limited to pricing research, branding, member satisfaction and loyalty, segmentation, needs assessments, messaging, creative and copy testing, and product/concept research. In addition, the position supports the execution of market research-related organizational business operating plan objectives and works collaboratively across the enterprise.

Position Description

  • Manage assigned market research studies, ensuring quality controls and on-time results by working collaboratively with internal business partners, other departments, and designated market research vendors.

  • Procure and synthesize global market and competitive intelligence secondary market research information for internal dissemination.

  • Conduct various market research studies by procuring sample, programming surveys, ensuring quality controls, and partnering with vendors.

  • Ensure all raw sample files are cleaned as outlined in established processes.

  • Manage ongoing activities as they relate to various tracking studies, ensuring sample quality and deadlines are adhered to.

  • Liaise and collaborate with internal research and analytic resources.

  • Oversee vendor deliverables, including vendor invoice management and processing.

  • Manage ongoing activities and member communications related to the Market Research member panel.

  • Perform coding on open ended survey verbatim responses via Qualtrics.

  • Serve in cross functional SHRM workgroups, as needed.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Mathematics is preferred.

  • 3 years of professional experience, or advanced college degree combined with experience with market research studies

  • Working knowledge and experience with programming on survey design platforms such as Confirmit, Qualtrics, Decipher Beacon, or other platforms.

  • Expert proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with IBM SPSS including cross tabs and frequencies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including writing, grammar, and editing skills.

  • Project management skills, including setting and meeting timelines, monitoring budgets, and managing vendor output.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, rigorous data-centric environment, by successfully interacting and collaborating with product owners, managers, and senior management regarding business challenges and research needs.

  • Finely tuned active listening skills, strong attention to detail, and follow-through.

  • Comfortable working on multiple priorities while adhering to strict deadlines.

  • Ramp up quickly and be able to manage research studies on less complexity and support those more complex led by Sr. Analysts

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands to type, file, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work environment

  • Travel required: Occasional 0-10%

  • Work is regularly performed in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

The hiring range for this position is $75,000 to $92,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
