ManpowerGroup Part Time Accounting Support in Alexandria, Virginia

Our client is seeking a Part Time Accounting Support to join their team. As a Part Time Accountant you will be part of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to various audiences, strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and effective time management skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Part Time Accounting Support

Hours per Month: Part Time, 40 – 60 hours per month. All in the first 2 weeks of the month during the close period.

Location: Fully Remote position ;East Coast preferred though

Pay Range: $30- $40 - hour

Responsibilities/Duties

  • The Accounting Support Staff will play a crucial role in assisting our accounting department with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. Perform basic general ledger / close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, account review and accounting administration.

  • Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems.

  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. This may involve gathering financial data, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

At least 5-7 years of experience in an accounting support or similar role.

Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.

Sage Accounting or QuickBooks online system experience preferred

Professional Services experience preferred
