Description

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory. This person will help to build teams to capture, propose, and lead management and execution of R&D programs. The right candidate will have experience leading and performing DOD Research and Development in directed energy weapons or RF countermeasure technology development and evaluation.

This position requires a candidate with experience leading and performing a variety of tasks to support Government leaders, including:

  • DOD Research and Development in directed energy weapons or RF countermeasure technology development and evaluation

  • Perform RF measurements and write associated test plans

  • Experience supporting US Government clients

  • Experience coordinating across multiple organizations

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • B.Sc. Electrical Engineering or Physics

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Five years’ experience in design, development and implementation of EW systems for DoD applications

  • Five years’ experience with DoD research and development or intelligence organizations in directed energy weapons or RF countermeasure technology development or evaluation

  • Experience working with intelligence organizations to understand the development program requirements and system, platform and threat vulnerabilities

  • Demonstrated experience with analog and digital technique generation

  • Working knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of technologies used to generate EW techniques

  • Experience with automated data collection software, e.g. LabView, MATLAB, C++, etc.

  • Experience with automated RF design software, e.g. Keysight ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related experience

This position is contingent upon ARA receipt of a contract and associated task funding.
