JOB TITLE:              People and Cow Resource Manager  

JOB LOCATION:    2500 County Road 110, Alger, OH 45812

* JOB DUTIES*:           Responsible for managing commercial dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) Supporting employees with education and training, including providing training and leadership on cow treatment, cow breeding, effective milk production, and safe handling of machinery; collaborating with leadership to develop an education and training plan for each employee; and assisting team members when they have questions about vaccinations, diagnosis, and healthy/safe animal care; (2) Providing support to the leadership team by attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing talented team members; (3) Maintaining cow data and accurate records to ensure all records, protocols, and data are up to date to ensure compliance and quick availability to provide needed care to animals; (4) Assisting finance team with financial recordkeeping of payables, maintaining vendor relations, investigating discrepancies within the financial system, and ordering supplies while meeting established budget.

REQUIREMENTS:  Two years of herd health experience, including specific leadership experience and large dairy experience; proficiency in herd management software. Housing benefit available.
