Description Do you create spreadsheets in your sleep? Are you an Accountant looking to find your place in the accounting field? Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Accountant with a highly successful organization in the Manufacturing industry. This position's duties will include reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component. Candidates for this entry-level position should be Excel enthusiasts, interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. This opportunity is for a long-term contract / temporary to hire entry-level Accountant position and is located in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit

• Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts

• Investigating and fixing account discrepancies

• Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Log data

• Make monthly journal entries

• Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned Requirements - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

• An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Foundational knowledge in General Ledger System

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

• Experience with month end closings

• Deep understanding of Sage Accounting Software

• Adeptness in account reconciliation

• Outstanding data entry skills

• 1 year of accounting experience

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
