Appointment Scheduling Specialist – Heart & Vascular Specialists Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Appointment Scheduling Specialist Work location: 1105 Central Expressway North, Suite 120, Allen, TX 75013 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided ) Heart & Vascular Specialists Department Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

• 2 years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)

• Requires strong customer skills

• Good communication skills

• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process

• Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests, and studies by the physician.

• Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments.

• Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data.

• Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patients, staff, and visitor contacts, and performs other duties as assigned.

• Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).

• Able to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking and strongly believe in ‘team work’.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
