Robert Half Compliance Officer in Allen, Texas

Description

We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Compliance Officer to join our team in the banking industry in Allen, Texas. The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations adhere to legal standards and in-house policies. They will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for all regulatory compliance matters within the organization.

• Review and analyze marketing and advertising materials to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Conduct thorough reviews of compliance quality assurance.

• Stay updated on regulatory changes and implementations and analyze their impact on business processes.

• Facilitate annual Business Impact Analysis reviews with all business units.

• Assist in managing the organization's Business Continuity Management program.

• Ensure that all policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements.

• Communicate new and existing regulatory requirements to staff and members.

• Assist in developing action plans to address compliance issues.

• Provide guidance for various regulatory related projects.

• Respond to staff inquiries regarding compliance issues.

• Support new product implementation and ongoing product support.

• Analyze and validate the underwriting and credit quality of auto loan originations.

• Use compliance software and other tools to maintain accurate records and reports.

• Use Spanish language skills to review and translate documentation as needed.

• Use auditing and complaint handling skills to address and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a Compliance Officer role within the banking industry

• Proficient in the use of compliance software

• Demonstrated experience in Anti Money Laundering (AML) procedures

• Strong auditing skills

• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written

• Experience in complaint handling and resolution

• Must have a firm understanding of compliance standards and regulations in the banking sector

• Fluency in Spanish is REQUIRED

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration or a related field is preferred
