Information Center Support Technician

    Responsibilities for an Information Center Support Technician with Phoebe Allentown:

Responsible for answering telephone and email requests from clients.  Research and troubleshoot telephone, computer and peripheral hardware, operating systems and applications.  Documentation of requests, problems and applied fixes for the purpose of resource management and quality improvement is another essential part of the job.  Additionally, this position will assist with PC setup and upgrades as necessary, which will require packing and un-packing, lifting and positioning computers and peripherals.  Position may be required to visit clients’ workspace and research and resolve problems therefore valid drivers’ license is required. This position will also be responsible for providing end user training.

There might be a need to work alternative shifts and weekends to accommodate training or technical project schedules.  Additionally, limited on-call responsibilities may be requested.

Requirements for an Information Center Support Technician with Phoebe Allentown:

  • High school diploma or GED required along with associate’s degree and/or commensurate experience and certifications.

  • With but not limited to monitoring systems; tracking assets; Microsoft Windows 10/11; Microsoft 365 products; familiar with problem solving, project management and applications design.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience teaching, testing, documenting or implementing productivity and/or specialized applications from Microsoft, or others required.  Experience using web tools, designing and maintaining web sites. 

  • Healthcare applications experience preferred.  Troubleshooting hardware, wiring, operating system and applications in a networked environment is required.
