Overview
This role focuses on managing the human element of change with a particular focus on business processes, systems, technologies, job roles, and organizational structures. A strong background in managing and implementing change initiatives within a Change Center of Excellence (CCoE) framework, along with being adept in the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) agile methodology. This role requires a focused individual who can guide teams through change processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
A key focus of this position is to drive faster adoption, higher utilization, and improved proficiency with new systems and processes, thereby optimizing outcomes and increasing overall value creation for employees. This will lead to enhanced benefit realization and the achievement of targeted results across the organization.
In addition to managing system integration changes, this role will also oversee external change management initiatives. This includes guiding the implementation of system changes that impact external stakeholders such as customers, vendors, and contractors. By crafting effective change strategies, this individual will facilitate smooth transitions, promote stakeholder adoption of new processes, and ensure that external stakeholders fully realize the benefits of these changes.
This role includes a focus on the SAFe Agile implementation, where the Change Management Lead will work closely with Agile teams to integrate change management practices within the SAFe framework. This involves supporting Agile transformations by aligning change management strategies with Agile processes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that the people side of change is well-managed throughout the Agile project lifecycle. The Change Management Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting the adoption of Agile methodologies, helping teams embrace new ways of working while driving organizational agility and success. #LI-Hybrid
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives for technology initiatives.
Utilize the Change Center of Excellence to foster best practices and standardize change processes across the organization.
Integrate the SAFe agile methodology into change management initiatives to enhance flexibility and responsiveness.
Conduct change impact assessments to understand the implications of changes on the business and its stakeholders.
Develop change plans, including communication strategies, training programs, and support mechanisms.
Identify and engage key stakeholders to ensure their buy-in and support for change initiatives.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to gather input, address concerns, and foster collaboration.
Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address any issues that arise.
Lead the execution of change management plans, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of change initiatives across the organization.
Utilize SAFe agile principles to manage change projects, ensuring iterative progress and continuous improvement.
Provide coaching and support to teams and individuals to help them navigate through change.
Coordinate with Communications team for the design, development, delivery, and management of internal and external communications.
Partner with Training teams to guide the documentation of requirements and support the design and delivery of tailored training programs to facilitate change adoption.
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives and their impact on the organization.
Monitor progress and performance against change plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure success.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ability to partner across the PPL organization, with IT, business, contractor, and vendor partners to successfully deliver IT initiatives
Additional management responsibilities include:
Ensure the completion of change management assessments.
Oversee the identification, analysis, and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
Proactively identify and manage anticipated resistance to change.
Ensure actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: change management strategy, communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and change network.
Support and engage steering committee and executive sponsors.
Assist in organizational design, including the definition of roles and responsibilities.
Integrate change management activities into both individual project plans and overarching integrated program plans.
Evaluate and ensure user readiness for upcoming changes.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
Define and track success metrics to monitor and evaluate change progress.
Manage the change portfolio of system integration projects and meter deployment operations.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in in business, communications, marketing, industrial-organizational psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant change management experience, including at least 5 years in management and supervisory roles. Additionally, at least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing organizational change management programs for large, complex, enterprise-wide transformations with a proven track record of successful change initiatives.
Required Skills :
