The Operational Technology (OT) Project Manager is a US based remote position with preferred locations Allentown, PA, Metro Phoenix, AZ area or Carlsbad, CA with 20%-40% domestic travel required during peak project phases.

Your Role:

Job functions, main tasks, and responsibilities:

As an Operational Technology (OT) Project Manager for Electronics, you are accountable for the planning, monitoring, and delivery of global medium to large/complex OT projects and programs from initiation through completion. You will secure the required resources and utilize formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. By leading international teams in a matrix environment, you will ensure the projects' on-time delivery according to specifications and within budgeted costs. In close collaboration with the business, you will drive the collection and prioritization of operational requirements, supporting the creation of business cases. Working closely with Automation and Industrial Control Technologies, you will ensure that operational needs are translated into technical specifications and advise the business on suitable technical solutions. Finally, you will manage the technical implementation (e.g., configuration, testing, commissioning) while ensuring security, reliability, and quality of delivered solutions, including a smooth handover to operations and support.

Scope:

  • Fully global Information & Operation Technology (IT/OT) role

Expected Travel:

  • Up to 20-40% during peak project phases

This is a remote position with expected travel.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or preferably a Master's degree in industrial engineering, control systems, or related fields (or equivalent degree)

``` - Experienced project manager (5+ years) with a proven track record of successfully delivering OT projects in a complex, global matrix organization

``` - Domain experience in logistics, digital supply chains, manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 is a strong advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent presentation, demonstration, and C-level communication skills (written and oral)

``` - Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

``` - Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations while producing high-quality deliverables (project plans, documentation, presentations, proof-of-concepts, etc.)

``` - 'Can-do' mindset and a strong willingness to continuously develop and grow (e.g., business process or technical know-how, leadership skills)

``` - Experience with OT project lifecycles (e.g., design, build, test, commissioning, and handover to support)

``` - Experience with key financial project KPIs, RFPs/RFIs, and business case calculations

``` - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

``` - Ability to lead and direct remote project teams in a global matrix organization

``` - PMP, Prince2 or similar project management certification

Beneficial skills & abilities:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate and earn credibility and respect with internal and external customers and strategic partners.

``` - Working experience in the chemicals industry.
