Summary
Manages a wide variety of multi-disciplinary, phased, healthcare projects, including several successfully completed multiple-phased, complex projects. Leads healthcare design and construction projects of complex, including sophisticated technology, and/or single projects of greater than $25M project cost.
Job Duties Develops department/network procedures/policies. Manages and coordinates all phases of ICRA, ILSM, and DOH documentation during construction. Selects and manages architects, engineers, and contractors. Plans, develops, designs, and constructs major new construction and renovation projects. Forecasts project costs/commitments. Evaluates bids/proposals and makes 'best value' recommendations to the network. Develops complete project estimates and schedules to assist with network decisions. Works closely with Sr. Leadership to coordinate and complete network design and construction projects. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree In construction management, architecture, or engineering. 15+ years Managing complex design and construction projects Computer skills and an understanding of the contractual arrangements within design and construction projects. Knowledge of the construction process and critical path scheduling. Math skills and skills using spreadsheets and cost projections. Ability to share and develop others in project management. Knowledge of construction safety policies and procedures. Knowledge of construction process and construction management techniques and strategies along with architectural and engineering design principles and applications. Knowledge of AIA forms and contracts, building codes, regulations, and safety procedures within a hospital (TJC/DOH/OSHA). Ability to develop project cash flow schedules. Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
