Overview
Our Treasury Operations department is looking for an organized and self-motivated individual to supervise the company’s cash control functions. The Supervisor must have a thorough understanding of effective control models, specifically related to the safeguarding of cash while operating under the framework of SOX 404 requirements. The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.

Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring all cash receipts and cash disbursements of the corporation are well controlled in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Provide oversight for daily cash reconciliation, daily system controls, and monthly bank reconciliations.
Supervise and direct cash operations staff on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all timelines are met in support of monthly accounting cycles and quarterly reporting deadlines.
Develop and motivate staff to grow in their individual career path.
Research and analyze complex reconciliation variances or accounting issues and recommend appropriate courses of action or guidance on correcting entries.
Manage Treasury financial systems and interfaces to ensure appropriate user access and controlled transfer of data between systems.
Communicate with internal customers to ensure compliance with cash operations
Provide expertise and oversee the implementation of effective control models and fraud detection techniques related to the safeguarding and controlling of cash, including bank account validation for customers and vendors.
Manage reporting to external agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including unclaimed property laws and IRS regulations.
Manage internal reporting to senior management to provide transparency on effectiveness of cash controls.
Interface with internal and external auditors to ensure that SOX 404 requirements related to cash transactions are
Assist on special projects and ad hoc analysis, as needed.
Physical presence in the office to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
At least 5 years of Treasury / Finance experience with progression in responsibility
Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under constraints
Proven understanding of accounting principles, cash transaction rules, financial processes and systems
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Professional Certification (CPA, CTP, CFA) preferred
