Description We are seeking an Engineering Assistant to join our team. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is based in ALLIANCE, Ohio, 44601-3212, United States. As an Engineering Assistant, you will be responsible for managing and organizing documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility. You will also assist in maintaining government certifications and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize documentation throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with standards.

• Maintain control processes for project documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.

• Organize and maintain physical and electronic document repositories, ensuring documents are stored securely and are easily retrievable.

• Provide support in obtaining government projects through various online platforms.

• Offer administrative support to project teams, including formatting documents, preparing transmittals, assisting with document-related inquiries, and organizing travel arrangements.

• Assist in maintaining government certifications as needed.

• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct periodic reviews and inspections as directed.

• Update and maintain documentation, plans, and reports. Ensure all files are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

• Use various Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to manage timelines, organize files, and perform data entry tasks.

• Use your knowledge of engineering drawings and compliance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience in an engineering or technical role.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders.

• Ability to manage timelines and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Experience in data entry with a high level of accuracy.

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and ability to interpret them accurately.

• Familiarity with shipping functions and related procedures.

• Experience in organizing and maintaining files in an orderly system.

• Proficiency in using scanning equipment and related software.

• Understanding of compliance regulations within the engineering sector.
