Experienced Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator, Certified / Hybrid

Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail - Hybrid (Remote and in office hours.)

Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, 8 am to 4:30 pm

We provide wellness services, outpatient surgery and women’s imaging services and are a top choice in North Fort Worth for radiology services and much more.

This role is responsible for the following:

  • Privileging for physicians and advanced practice professionals/allied health practitioners

  • Processes initial and reappointment applications, checking for completeness and accuracy, including primary source verification of confidential and sensitive practitioner information.

  • Ensures that all credentials’ files are current and complete pursuant to expiration date of medical licenses, board certification, professional-liability insurance coverage, DEA and other pertinent information, per bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures

  • Maintains credentialing database with current practitioner information.

  • Audits files based on internal standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitors and reports application status and provide correspondence as appropriate.

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Associate's degree is preferred.

  • Two (2) years of medical staff credentialing experience (physician, provider) is required.

  • Two (2) years of credentialing experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.

  • Four (4) years of medical staff or credentialing experience is preferred.

  • MSOW experience is highly preferred.

  • Medical Staff Coordinator Certification is preferred.

The Skills for Success Include

  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft products and web-based queries.

  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions is highly needed.

  • Experience with regulatory and accreditation standards and requirements (i.e., the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services)

  • Experience with Credentials Committee and Medical Executive Committee meetings and activities as well as other Medical Staff Committees.

  • Familiarity with Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE).

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work daily.

  • Dedicated to the highest quality in all aspects of your work.

  • Must possess critical and analytical thinking skills.

  • Must possess excellent follow up skills.

  • Excellent attention to details is a must.
