ABOUT THE ROLE
Supports the procurement and warehousing function within an operating company by maximizing efficiencies associated with the provision of material to the operation.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Manage and continuously improve all aspects of parts purchasing and warehousing including:
Purchasing (spare parts, VMI, and outsourced rebuilds.)
Inventory (monthly cycle counts and stock level reconciliation, min/max leveling, inventory analysis, and inventory control.)
Warehouse (inbound goods and receipt transactions, issuing goods from inventory, parts returns, inventory picking/prep for internal customers).
Develop, implement, and manage warehouse strategies and procedures as defined by leadership to ensure accurate movement and effective storage of goods is compliant with best practices.
Develop and drive improvement and results in operational efficiency.
Accurately measure, and report monthly and annual KPIs
Define and maintain purchasing and warehouse strategies to assure plant reliability.
Identify and implement procedures for automation in purchasing and in the warehouse including VMI, SAP Contracts, and accurate MRP functions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years experience or at least 8 years equivalent experience with HS Diploma / GED
Field of Study Preferred: Supply Chain Management
Required Work Experience: Purchasing or warehouse management primarily supporting maintenance activities.
Required Computer and Software Skills: Purchasing or warehouse management primarily supporting maintenance activities.
Additional Requirements:
Leadership ability to support and develop direct reports, as well as, cross-functional teams, strength in collaborative relationships and change management.
Strong written and oral communication skills; and able to communicate with all levels within the plant and with corporate management, as well as, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Convincing communicator with high sensitivity to customers and suppliers; and able to balance empathy and assertiveness.
Ability to drive continuous improvement, efficiency of processes; and manage change with the ability to impact own warehouse and other warehouses through idea sharing.
Experience in forecasting, MRP, Batch tracking, and Inventory management.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
