ADP DVP Strategy, National Account Services in Alpharetta, Georgia

ADP is seeking a Divisional Vice President, Strategy for our National Account Services (NAS) business unit.

As the DVP Strategy for NAS, an organization which serves clients with 1,000+ employees you will be providing the direction and leadership in developing and implementing the global strategic and business development plans that enable the business to grow profitably.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of strategic planning, spearheading select strategic initiatives, and identifying potential alliance partners and acquisition targets across the entire NAS portfolio. You will research and analyzes market trends and business metrics in order to recommend and implement new product enhancements and programs to ensure the NAS consolidated businesses achieve short and long term revenue growth goals. You will actively engage with any partners or acquisition targets. You will also track key industry trends such as regulatory and competitive challenges and develops plans and recommendations to mitigate and manage these emerging risks. The DVP of Strategy will partner with the President of NAS, General Managers, and functional leaders (e.g., Product, Legal, Sales, Finance) to set the strategic direction for the business unit based on a data-driven, client-centered approach. The role will also be responsible for driving incubation of the newest and most critical strategic efforts, leading planning and execution, to grow them to sufficient maturity for hand-off to operating / execution teams.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and deliver global strategic plans to support business growth objectives based on sound analysis and judgment.

  • Drive global business research agenda. Create and leverage Information Sources enabling Nationals to accurately assess market, client needs, competition and new opportunities.

  • Proactively identify, develop, and drive longer-term global strategies and initiatives that will result in attaining profitable growth. Take bold actions to strengthen results.

  • Leverage changes in the external global marketplace as catalysts for growth. Understand and act on trends in the external environment.

  • Recommend, develop and drive options for global market entry considering all alternatives from build, alliance and acquire. Build detailed business plans for key strategic growth initiatives.

  • Lead the pricing, bundling and discounting function for all NAS products and services. Assess customer profitability, pricing and product mix versus competitors and adjust pricing or business models as appropriate.

  • Develop structured tactical processes and practices including competitive intelligence, forecasting, pricing, business modeling, and ROI analysis.

  • Manage and coordinate global Strategic Alliances and strategic channel partners to support growth objectives.

  • Identify acquisition candidates and lead business case development as well as due diligence and operational assessments to assure successful implementation.

  • Drive a performance-based culture that engages associates to achieve excellence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA degree preferred

Experience:

  • Equivalent of 10+ years of total experience

  • Ideal candidate will have strategy consulting experience as well as in-house corporate strategic planning experience

  • Proven success with developing and executing large scale strategic initiatives
