Your role at Clorox:

The position is responsible for strengthening the HSE team by maintaining a highly qualified workforce, ensuring continuous expertise in operational compliance, site investigations, remediation, and property assessment. It involves enhancing the team's knowledge and management of the Intelex system, and regularly evaluating the external audit program with third-party partners for meaningful site audits. Key responsibilities include maintaining critical compliance tools, assessing system functions for potential gaps, and ensuring ongoing training and development of HSE team members. Additionally, the role requires maintaining strong relationships with plant and business customers, serving as a liaison with local regulatory bodies, and providing technical support for prioritizing site needs and handling vendor relationships.

In this role, you will:

  • Strengthen the HSE team functions by maintaining a workforce of fully qualified professionals to support ongoing environmental needs. Ensure continuous expertise in compliance and site investigations, remediation, and property assessment.

  • Continuously improve the knowledge and management of the Intelex system within the team. Maintain a system "authority" in the environmental group to ensure seamless operation and integration.

  • Regularly evaluate our external audit program with our third-party partner, ALL4, to ensure it consistently provides relevant audits for sites and leadership.

  • Identify and maintain critical tools and establish timelines for their use: Maintenance of compliance documentation; regulatory training templates and standards.

  • Continuously assess overall system functions and processes for potential gaps, including but not limited to CDX, biennial waste reviews, hazardous waste generator reporting, document retention, and more.

  • Responsible for development and execution of ongoing training and development of HSE team members to ensure they maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of Clorox programs, systems, and operations.

  • Maintain strong HSE relationships with plant and business customers to ensure consistent and effective communication and support.

  • Serve as Supply Chain Center / HSE Plant partner with all local regulatory bodies; serving as liaison with plant leadership in developing and maintaining positive relationships

  • Prioritize daily and weekly site needs to ensure the most critical support for projects and compliance deadlines, maintaining a capable and responsive staff.

  • Maintain a strong connection with corporate engineering and project management to consistently integrate the critical concept of Environmental Management (EM) in all projects.

  • Focus on handling and reviewing site permits and ETRACS work to ensure ongoing compliance actions are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Regularly assess and handle vendor relationships supporting SPCC/SWP3, developing and maintaining a roadmap to ensure a unified vendor solution across businesses.

  • Continuously evaluate and address the status of the single-location document storage for Environmental Coordinators (ECs), maintaining a roadmap for effective document storage in OneDrive.

What we look for:

  • 8 plus years of experience

  • Leadership and influence capabilities

  • Shown ability to deliver total results.

  • Technical knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements capable of performing work and projects globally

  • Experience negotiating with regulatory authorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience handling an EMS (such as Intelex) is desirable

  • Responsible for multi-facility compliance programs

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or science, or equivalent experience

  • Advanced Degree a plus

Hybrid 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100

–Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100

–Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
